The Story Behind the Name
The Station Six Fire Midget AAA female hockey club came into existence in May 2018. Hockey Nova Scotia awarded a group a franchise to play in the Nova Scotia Female Midget AAA League. The Station Six Fire will begin their inaugural season in 2018-19. The team will bring together the best female midget hockey players from parts of Halifax (Metro West Female Hockey Association), the South Shore, and the Annapolis Valley (Valley Wild Female Hockey Association).
It was the generous sponsorship of Station Six Food & Drink which brought the team's identity to life. Located at 247 Herring Cove Road, Station Six was designed as a gathering place that the community would be proud of, with an innovative menu that reflects the best of the moment and a staff who loves what they do.
Inspired by the Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service Station 6 located next door, Station Six offers a great alternative to downtown dining.
Station Six offers an intimate space and a modern, rustic setting to watch the game, enjoy a drink on the patio or take the family out for dinner.
